Margate Pride 2026

Margate Pride marks its 10th year in 2026. It's grassroots, corporate-free and pay-what-you-can, running as a full day of events from 10am to 11pm. The march itself gathers at Walpole Bay Lawns in Cliftonville from midday, sets off at 1pm and moves along the seafront to Dreamland, arriving around 2pm, with free daytime events at Margate Main Sands either side of the march.

It draws visitors from across Kent and beyond for what's become one of the town's fixed summer dates, alongside the Soul Weekender the same weekend as the anniversary events at Turner Contemporary. For owners letting near the seafront or the Cliftonville end of town, it's worth having on the calendar even though it's a free, daytime-heavy event rather than a ticketed festival.
