The UK's longest-running soul festival marks its 25th anniversary across the Margate seafront, 31 July to 2 August 2026.

The Margate Soul Weekender has run every summer for a quarter of a century, and 2026 is the 25th anniversary edition. Across more than 19 indoor and outdoor venues, from the beachside main stage under the Lido sign at Newgate Lower Promenade to intimate Old Town spots, the weekend brings soul, funk, jazz-funk, reggae, Latin and R&B acts including Incognito, Odyssey, Brass Construction and Change.
This is a full weekend event, not a single evening, and it fills a large chunk of Cliftonville and central Margate with visitors coming specifically for the music. For anyone with a holiday let nearby, that's three nights of demand from people who already know the town and are likely to come back.
